• Wyatt Sicks Member Gets New Name After WWE Took Ownership Of Old Ring Name
The Wyatt Sicks made their WWE debut in the summer of 2024 and quickly became one of the company’s most talked about acts. However, after a two-year run, the group was released during the company’s 2026 spring roster cuts.
It has now been announced that the faction will reunite for their first public appearance since leaving WWE. WrestleCon confirmed that all members of the group will appear during SummerSlam 2026 weekend in Minneapolis.
WrestleCon wrote the following on X:
“Let them in! This group may be headed in different directions, but we have assembled them once again for the entire 3 day weekend. Group pro photos will be available each day.”
The appearance also revealed the names several members will now be using outside WWE. Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy will appear under his real name Taylor Rotunda, while Erick Rowan will once again use Erick Redbeard, a name he previously worked under on the independent scene.
Dexter Lumis will revert to his pre-WWE ring name Samuel Shaw, while Nikki Cross is set to use her former Nikki Storm name. Meanwhile, Joe Gacy will now go by Joseph Sawyer, as WWE owns the rights to his former independent Joe Gacy name.
• Update On 2 Ex-WWE Stars Potentially Heading To AEW
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day were among the biggest and most shocking names to part ways with WWE during the recent wave of talent cuts.
Since their departure, the possibility of All Elite Wrestling signing the duo has become one of the hottest topics in wrestling. Several AEW stars have already shown public support for the idea.
According to Fightful Select, several prominent names within All Elite Wrestling are in favor of bringing The New Day into the company. Even though Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods spent their entire major wrestling careers in WWE, the duo are said to have a very strong reputation within the industry, with many in AEW believing Tony Khan’s company is their next destination.
Kofi Kingston is now going by simply Kofi, while Xavier Woods is using his longtime independent name Austin Creed. The pair have already begun taking bookings for public appearances.
