“You were way more interesting as Stardust” – SmackDown Results

Cody Rhodes Vs Kevin Owens Saturday Night's Main Event 4 WWE WWF WrestleFeed App

Below are the complete results from tonight’s SmackDown.

– Jimmy Uso kicked off tonight’s WWE SmackDown by coming out while using a crutch and reflected on the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series 2024, describing it as an incredible experience. While it didn’t fully affect Jimmy, it did injure his big toe. He shared that WarGames meant everything to him because he stood alongside his family while other families watched at home. For years, he had watched his family dominate and entertain the WWE Universe, and the opportunity to continue doing so felt like a dream. He expressed pride in each of his family members, including Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa, before addressing his uncertain future. Jimmy admitted he wasn’t sure what was next for him but acknowledged the many possibilities ahead. He said he doesn’t know what’s next and wants 2025 to be a big year for Big Jim. Jimmy said maybe he’ll win the Royal Rumble, go after the United States Title, or go after the Undisputed WWE Championship. Drew McIntyre blindsided him with a Claymore Kick before he could leave the ring and unleashed a barrage of punches. Officials quickly rushed to separate McIntyre from Jimmy.

– Bianca Belair and Naomi approached SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis as he instructed Drew McIntyre to wait in his office. Aldis then informed Belair and Naomi that the investigation into who attacked Jade Cargill several weeks earlier had reached a dead end.

He also told Belair that she would need to relinquish the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Naomi suggested becoming Belair’s new partner, and Aldis responded that if that was the case, they needed to be prepared to defend the titles as early as the following week.

– “Michin” Mia Yim def. Ms. Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton to advance to the final of the Women’s United States Championship Tournament tomorrow night on Saturday Night’s Main Event

– New WWE Tag Team Champions DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) declared themselves as the best tag team in the world.

– In a pre-taped vignette, Roman Reigns said it’s been a rough year. He lost his Title, he lost his Wiseman, he lost his Bloodline, but most importantly – he lost his Ula Fala. Reigns said he never ‘took’ the Ula Fala like Solo did, he earned it and received it from his legendary father back at Hell In A Cell 2020. Reigns said he’ll face Sikoa in a Tribal Chief vs. Tribal Chief – Tribal Combat Match for the Ula Fala on RAW’s debut episode on Netflix on January 6.

– Santos Escobar confronts Nick Aldis backstage saying he’s sick of the disrespect he and Legado Del Fantasma has been getting and they are gonna call Adam Pearce.

– Braun Strowman def. Carmelo Hayes

Strowman was Carmelo’s mystery opponent and is now a part of the SmackDown brand.

– LA Knight def. Solo Sikoa via DQ after Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga attacked Knight

Sikoa hit Knight with a Samoan Spike after the match. Andrade and Apollo Crews came out to make the save (as they got attacked last week by The Bloodline), but they got taken out as well.

– Grayson Waller & Austin Theory invited Braun Strowman to The Grayson Waller Effect on next week’s SmackDown and Strowman accepted.

– Chelsea Green def. Bayley to advance to the final of the Women’s United States Championship Tournament tomorrow night on Saturday Night’s Main Event, where she will face Michin to crown the inaugural champion

– Michael Cole introduced Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who made his way to the ring. Cole then announced Owens, but Owens didn’t appear. As Cole addressed Triple H’s recent gift to Rhodes shared on social media, Owens interrupted from the titantron, speaking from his car. Owens told Cole to ask Rhodes how he could justify using his friends only to betray them by teaming with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. Owens then told Rhodes:

“You were way more interesting as Stardust.”

Rhodes stormed out of the ring in search of Owens, but Owens ambushed him from behind in the backstage area. The two brawled their way back to ringside through the Gorilla position, continuing their fight. A couple of security guards attempted to intervene but were taken out by Rhodes. Additional security and officials arrived to separate the two, but Owens seized the Undisputed WWE Championship and struck Rhodes with it, standing tall as the show ended.
