Below are a couple of important AEW & WWE news stories:

– The Elite recently signed new multi-year deals with AEW. Their contracts were coming up soon and they were considering WWE as an option.

Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and “Hangman” Adam Page decided to stick together whether it was in AEW or WWE.

The Wrestling Observer reports that The Young Bucks got the biggest downside guarantee a Tag Team has ever gotten in pro wrestling history by Tony Khan for staying in AEW.

Barry Bloom, who represented The Elite in contract negations, told Matt and Nick Jackson that as far as he knew, it was the highest guarantee any Tag Team in pro wrestling history had ever gotten and that would include contracts for Kevin Nash and Scott Hall (The Outsiders) in WCW.

The Young Bucks decided to stay in AEW mainly because the company has a lighter schedule, which is why they can have more family time than they could have if they joined WWE.

– Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes are 1-1 against each other. The rubber match will take place at SummerSlam 2023.

There were rumors that the 3rd match was going to be a Bullrope Match, but that’s obviously not happening.

According to Fightful Select, during the creative meeting for this feud, a question was raised if the 3rd match needed a stipulation, and the WWE Officials & Writers collectively agreed that no stipulation is needed for this match.

After this, the topic of this match getting a stipulation was never brought up again.
