3. John Cena Set To Break A Big Record At No Mercy 2016

As we noted before, AJ Styles will defend his WWE World Championship against Dean Ambrose & John Cena in the main event of No Mercy 2016, which takes place on October 9.

On that night, John Cena will become the man with the most Pay-Per-View main events in WWE history, by surpassing legendary names like The Undertaker & Triple H.

John Cena is currently tied with The Undertaker & Triple H for the most PPV main events in WWE history: 67. Below is the list of wrestlers with most WWE PPV main events:

– John Cena (67)

– The Undertaker (67)

– Triple H (67)

– Shawn Michaels (48)

– Randy Orton (42)

– Stone Cold Steve Austin (41)

– Kane (38)

– The Rock (33)

– Chris Jericho (29)

– Edge (26)

It should be noted that the above numbers includes the Royal Rumble match appearances as well (which usually is the main event of the Royal Rumble PPV).

It should be noted that Cena hasn’t appeared in a WWE PPV main event in 2 years now. His last PPV main event was at Night of Champions 2014, where he defeated Brock Lesnar via DQ in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.
