9. Gallows & Anderson Cost Cedric Alexander The United States Championship Match
Cedric Alexander has been on a roll lately. The former Cruiserweight Champion surprised everyone with his performance in the King Of The Ring Tournament. However, his dream to become the King Of The Ring was ended by Baron Corbin two weeks ago on RAW.
One factor which may have played a big role in Alexander’s defeat was The OC coming to beat him down out of nowhere. While he was warming up for his quarter final match against Corbin, The OC, who weren’t very happy after their altercation with Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman, took out their frustration on him.
The following week on RAW, Alexander faced Styles but the match ended in a familiar way. Gallows & Anderson intervened and beat down Alexander. Later that night, Alexander pinned The Phenomenal One in a 10-man tag team match which earned him a United States Championship match at Clash Of Champions.
Just like most Styles’ matches recently, we can expect The Good Brothers to interrupt in this one as well. Styles won’t be dropping the US Title anytime soon so he’s the clear winner in this bout. He may not win clean, but we can hope for a classic between the two.
