• 1st Time Ever Opponent Being Discussed For Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 39

WrestleMania 39 (aka WrestleMania Hollywood) is less than 6 months away and Triple H and other creative team members have begun discussing what they want to book for the Show of Shows in April 2023.

Brock Lesnar is one of WWE’s top attractions and he will be involved in a big match, as usual.

According to Xero News, WWE is discussing Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther at WrestleMania 39. No word yet on if it will be for the Intercontinental Championship.

During a recent interview with WMBD News, Gunther said Lesnar is a dream opponent for him:

“If I had to pin it down to one name, I’d say it’s Brock Lesnar at the moment. When I was young and watching WWE, I enjoyed watching his matches.

Later on when I progressed in my career, I was able to watch wrestling and analyze how people work.

He’s always been somebody I was impressed with. He’s one of the best to ever do it. I think that’s the biggest possible challenge for me at the moment.”

If WWE ends up going in this direction, then Lesnar vs. Lashley III will happen at Royal Rumble 2023, as they are 1-1 against each other.

Speaking of Lesnar, The Beast has suffered back to back losses in his last 3 WrestleMania matches:

WrestleMania 35 – lost the Universal Championship to Seth Rollins

WrestleMania 36 – lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre

WrestleMania 38 – lost the WWE Championship to Universal Champion Roman Reigns
