• 2 Ex-WWE Stars Rumored To Join AEW

Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay, known as The IInspiration (fka The IIconics in WWE), left TNA Wrestling in January.

After a successful stint that saw them capture the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship, the team dropped the titles to Heather By Elegance and M By Elegance on the AMC premiere of TNA iMPACT. This loss served as their final appearance for the promotion.

According to Fightful Select, the duo had been working on a series of short-term agreements after their original contracts expired in October 2025. While there were ongoing discussions about a long-term stay, Lee and McKay ultimately decided not to sign new contracts. The split was described as amicable, with the team remaining open to staying until they ultimately chose to finish up after the iMPACT – AMC premiere.

In an update from the Wrestling Observer, there has been a lot of talk about The IInspiration joining AEW. There’s speculation going on that they could debut in All Elite Wrestling in their home country of Australia, as AEW Grand Slam Australia takes place on February 14.

• WWE Hall Of Famer Is Not In Danger

Rumors and concern spread online after a social media post from Ric Flair led some fans to fear something was wrong with fellow WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat.

Flair’s message, which referenced Steamboat and a shared era from their past, was interpreted by some as a eulogy, triggering widespread worry about Steamboat’s health.

However, PWInsider has confirmed that Steamboat is 100% fine and there is no health emergency or incident involving him. The social media post was a tribute in tone rather than an announcement of any misfortune, and Steamboat’s well-being is not in question.

• SmackDown Wrestler Has Taken On The Heath Slater Role

With his Pretty Deadly tag team partner, Elton Prince, out of action with an injury, Kit Wilson has become a singles competitor.

According to WRKD Wrestling, WWE officials have confidence in Kit filling a role similar to Heath Slater’s, serving as a reliable on-screen presence who can take losses while helping elevate other talent.

On last night’s SmackDown, Kit put over Oba Femi in a squash match.

• Another Update On AJ Lee’s WrestleMania 42 Match

AJ Lee was expected internally to be involved in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, but plans ultimately fell apart for reasons that remain unclear.

The situation was discussed on WrestleVotes Live on Fightful Select, where it was noted that AJ Lee had been lined up for the event before her absence became apparent. While her name had been circulating internally ahead of the show, she did not end up appearing in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

As previously noted, AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch is scheduled to take place at WrestleMania 42. This will be AJ’s first singles match in 11 years.

In an update from the Wrestling Observer, AJ vs. Becky is going to be for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Becky recently won the title back from Maxxine Dupri.
