The Acclaimed, former AEW Tag Team Champions Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, have seen their partnership dissolve in recent months, leading to distinct paths for each wrestler.
Since their loss to The Hurt Syndicate in January, Bowens has been absent from AEW programming, while Caster initiated a series of open challenges. Despite a string of losses, Caster continued this tradition at the Dynasty PPV tonight.
In a surprising turn of events, Anthony Bowens answered Caster’s open challenge, marking his return after nearly three months, alongside WWE Hall of Famer Billy Gunn. Bowens had a completely new presentation.

Original Plan For Will Ospreay At Tonight’s AEW Dynasty PPV
Jay White’s recent injury has necessitated significant adjustments to AEW’s creative direction.
Fightful Select reports that White sustained an injury on March 29th during a match against Kevin Knight, forcing him to withdraw from the Owen Hart Cup Tournament. This injury has led to a ripple effect, impacting planned storylines, notably the insertion of Kevin Knight into White’s place:
“We have heard that ‘Switchblade’ Jay White vs. Will Ospreay was the working plan for Dynasty, and Knight was effectively inserted into Switchblade’s plans.
As far as who was to win that match, those we’ve spoken to claim that the tournament plans are being kept pretty quiet, and there were still pitches from talent and internally in recent weeks.”
White’s hand injury may require surgery.
Kenny Omega’s Canceled Feud After His Return Revealed
Jack Perry’s last match took place over 3 months ago, when he competed at the NJPW/CMLL/AEW Wrestle Dynasty PPV on January 5th, where he lost to Yota Tsuji in a match for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship at the Tokyo Dome.
Perry’s last match in AEW took place at the Full Gear 2024 PPV, where he lost the TNT Championship to Daniel Garcia.
According to Fightful Select, a feud between Perry and Kenny Omega got canceled:
“I haven’t heard of any specific injury (to Jack Perry). I know that a Kenny Omega feud for him had been discussed upon Omega’s return, and then it didn’t end up happening.”
