On the Payback post-show last night, John Cena addressed his victory over Rusev in the “I Quit” match and said Rusev earned his respect. He also noted that “John Cena’s US Open Challenge” will continue on tonight’s WWE Raw.
As we saw on last night’s Payback PPV, Tamina & Naomi defeated The Bella Twins in a tag team match. In an interview after the PPV, Naomi noted that she will face the Divas Champion Nikki Bella for the title either on tonight’s WWE Raw or at the Elimination Chamber PPV.
Some reports were released last week which stated that a big NXT angle was supposed to take place on tonight’s WWE Raw for the build-up to NXT Takeover: Unstoppable event this Wednesday. That plan might be nixed as WWE is looking to concentrate on the build-up for the Elimination Chamber PPV.
