On this day in Pro Wrestling history on January 18, 1998, the World Wrestling Federation aired their annual ‘Royal Rumble’ event LIVE on PPV from the the San Jose Arena in San Jose, California.
This was the first Attitude Era Royal Rumble and the second of three Royal Rumble matches that were won by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

– WWF Intercontinental Championship: The Rock (c) def. Ken Shamrock via DQ
– WWF Tag Team Championship: The Legion of Doom def. The New Age Outlaws (c) via DQ
– Stone Cold Steve Austin won the 30-man Royal Rumble match
– Casket Match For The WWF World Heavyweight Championship: Shawn Michaels (c) def. The Undertaker

We have a new married couple in the WWE – SAnitY’s Killian Dain & Nikki Cross.
Dain & Cross have been together for over 10 years and they finally tied the knot this week.

This week turned out to be a big one for Nikki as not only did she get married, but she also made her WWE main roster debut on RAW.
