• Brock Lesnar Helps Train Top College Wrestler, Interest From WWE

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar recently trained with University of Minnesota freshman Gable Steveson.

You can check out the footage below:

According to the Wrestling Observer, Lesnar brought Gable backstage at a WWE Live Event while Gable was still in High School and that both Paul Heyman and Gerald Briscoe know about him. Lesnar is expected to train with him in the future as well.

While it was noted that WWE has a policy of not signing a Division I wrestler until they have completed college, word going on is that WWE officials are already interested in Gable and the possibility of him being the next big star out of Minnesota (after Lesnar).

WWE covered this story on their website as well and below is what they posted:

“University of Minnesota freshman Gable Steveson has shot to the top of the national rankings with a 20-0 start to his collegiate career, and another high-profile veteran of the program stopped by to drill with the ascendant star: Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

The Beast Incarnate, whose career as a Gopher helped him catch the eye of WWE talent scouts almost twenty years ago, sparred with the top-ranked heavyweight earlier today, as shown in a video posted by the team’s official Twitter account.

The clip is a short glimpse of The Conqueror helping Steveson hone his cradles, but it’s impressive nonetheless, with two very apparent takeaways: Lesnar’s still got the speed, and Steveson is right there with him.”
