• 2018 Flashback: Saudi Arabia Officials Offer $20 Million To WWE For A Huge Title Change

2018 is coming to an end. As you might have noticed by now, we’re taking a look back at some of the most interesting articles that we posted this year.

Right now, let’s take a look at the following masterpiece:

We previously noted how WWE’s big money deal with Saudi Arabia led to the in-ring return of WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels at the WWE Crown Jewel PPV.

Saudi Arabia officials are big fans of Old School Wrestlers and requested a number of Old School wrestlers to work the Greatest Royal Rumble event earlier this year.

Well, the Saudi officials now want another big Old School Star to appear at their next show.

According to the Dirty Sheets, Saudi Arabia officials want Old School WWF Legend The Rock to appear as WWE Champion (or Universal Champion – basically as a World Champion) at the planned April/May 2019 show in Saudi Arabia and they have offered to give $20 million for this appearance!

WWE officials had some discussions regarding booking Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35 if The Rock agrees to make an in-ring return.

The plan would’ve been for The Rock to defeat Lesnar to win the Universal Title (and avenge his SummerSlam 2002 loss) and then have their rematch at the Saudi Arabia show.

But as of this writing, it doesn’t look like The Rock will be in action at WrestleMania 35, so the Saudi Arabia show thing isn’t expected to happen either.
