During an episode of his weekly ‘Kliq This’ podcast, 2x WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recalled a recent show he did with ECW/WWF Legend Rob Van Dam.
Nash said no one ever had anything bad to say about RVD.
Kevin and Rob briefly wrestled each other in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling, when they were known as Vinnie Vegas and Robbie V.
They were also on the same roster in WWE from 2002 to 2003 and later in TNA (2010).
Here’s what Big Daddy Cool had to say about RVD:
“I’ve always liked him. I don’t know anyone who’s been in my presence who’s had a bad thing to say about Rob.”
Speaking of Van Dam, he will face Matt Riddle at the “Big Time Wrestling The Reunion 3” event on March 9th 2024 in Chillicothe, Ohio. This is going to be Riddle’s first match after his release from WWE.
RVD recently revealed that WWE pulled him from the WrestleMania 40 weekend meet & greet events due to his association with All Elite Wrestling.
After working for Paul Heyman’s ECW from 1996 till it closed its doors in January 2001, Rob Van Dam joined the World Wrestling Federation a few months later and became a household name and even a main eventer, several years before winning the WWE Championship in 2006.
Mr. Monday Night stayed with WWE until 2007, then wrestled for Dixie Carter’s Total Nonstop Action! (TNA) from 2010 to 2013 and returned to WWE for a 2nd run (2013-2014) with the company.
He returned to IMPACT Wrestling (fka TNA) for another run (2019-2020). He now wrestles in AEW every now & then.
