Sheamus entered the inaugural Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30 last year but failed to win the match as him & Del Rio eliminated each other from the match.
Sheamus can make his return directly at WrestleMania and enter the match as a surprise entrant. If the WWE plans to push him as a monster heel, there isn’t a better way to do it by making Sheamus eliminate a top babyface and win the battle royal.
As noted before, there will be less entrants in this year’s battle royal (possibly 20) and there aren’t that many big names entering the match, so this can be another reason why Sheamus is required in this match.
