2. Increase In Attendance At Live Events
Since the post WrestleMania season, WWE has been struggling with TV ratings and attendance at their events. Even RAW and SmackDown suffered from it for a few weeks, but things got better after Stomping Grounds. However, the case of WWE house shows looks pretty miserable these days.
It looks like fans are not really interested in live events these days, as the attendance of fans is very low at house shows. This past Monday, a SmackDown house show took place in Ft. Myers, Florida which drew very low attendance. More than half of the arena was empty.
A Title change at WWE SmackVille (which is a televised house show) will spark some interest for house shows among the fans, and give them a reason to attend them. Moreover, it will also cause WWE to make house shows more unpredictable in the future.
