• 3-Way WWE Title Match Being Planned For Backlash 2023
WrestleMania 39 is a month away and it’s going to be the first ever WrestleMania booked by “The Game” Triple H, who became the Chief Content Officer last year.
As we have noted before, WWE is planning a Draft after WrestleMania, despite the fact that RAW & SmackDown wrestlers are appearing on both brands for a while.
According to Wrestlingnewsco, the Draft will feature the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship being split back to the WWE Title and the Universal Title, and both brands having a separate Men’s World Champion again.
Xero News added that the current plan is that Roman Reigns will keep one of his Titles during this Draft, and drop the other one.
This means that Reigns is currently scheduled to defeat Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania Hollywood.
In an update, Xero News is reporting the following about the main event of WrestleMania Backlash 2023 premium live event:
“There are some internally pushing for a Backlash Triple Threat match between Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & Cody Rhodes.
IF that Triple Threat match happens, there could be a possibility it ends up being for the WWE Championship.”
