2. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Ali – Intercontinental Championship Match
After getting some help from Sami Zayn to retain his Intercontinental Title against The Miz at Clash Of Champions, Shinsuke Nakamura reignited his rivalry with Ali last week on SmackDown. Ali who has a good record against The Artist, was brutalized by the champion even before their scheduled match could start.
Ali and Nakamura faced off in several matches this summer where Ali even pinned him in one of the matches. However, their rivalry did not proceed further after Nakamura successfully defended his title against Ali at WWE SmackVille.
It looks like they will be continuing from where they left off on the road to SummerSlam.
Nakamura & Ali faced-off on this week’s SmackDown and Nakamura won the match after Ali was distracted by Zayn.
This might lead to a rematch between the two at Hell In A Cell 2019 PPV, this time with the Intercontinental Championship on the line.
Moreover, Ali might work big matches until WWE Crown Jewel 2 as WWE tends to push him whenever they go to Saudi Arabia. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he wins his first Intercontinental Title at Hell In A Cell 2019.
