1. Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez – WWE Championship Match
Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston at SmackDown’s premiere on FOX to win his 5th WWE Championship. Just after the bell rang, Kingston rushed into Lesnar only to get hit with an F5 a few seconds later. Lesnar’s record-breaking win left everyone astounded, but what happened after his win was even more shocking.
While The Beast and his advocate Paul Heyman were celebrating his win, Rey Mysterio came out with Lesnar’s worst nightmare by his side, who was Cain Velasquez. Velasquez wasted no time and went after The Beast to take him down. However, Lesnar retreated safely which was a very rare moment.
Velasquez and Lesnar have a long history between them. The 37-year-old Mexican TKOed Lesnar to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship in 2010. A few years after that, Lesnar returned to the WWE.
It looks like they’ll be continuing their rivalry in the squared circle from where they left off in the octagon. The Saudi Prince would definitely love to see a hard-hitting match between the two MMA stars for which he will pay heavily.
The two will most probably lock horns once again at WWE Crown Jewel this Halloween, with the WWE Championship on the line.
