3. Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon
Just when we thought that Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon were done with each other, Shane-O-Mac once again did something which Owens won’t let go off easily.
Kevin Owens faced Shane McMahon at WWE SummerSlam a couple of weeks ago. Owens was surprised when Shane O’Mac called out Elias as the second referee for the match. Elias tried his best to cost Owens the match, but unfortunately, he failed, and got a vicious beat-down with a steel chair from Kevin Owens.
However, Owens wasn’t done there. He decided to give Shane McMahon a taste of his own medicine, and hit him with a low-blow to win the match, thus saving his career.
On the following episode of SmackDown Live, McMahon fined Owens $100,000 for attacking Elias, as he was working as an official during their match at ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer’. Owens thought that the fine was pretty heavy, and he did everything he could to get it lifted.
The Prize Fighter went to McMahon this week on SmackDown and apologized to him for attacking Elias, after which the fine was lifted. However, McMahon decided to continue his rivalry with Owens, and avenge his loss at SummerSlam.
Kevin Owens faced off against Elias on this week’s SmackDown in the first round of the King Of The Ring Tournament. Just when he was closing in on the victory, McMahon made a surprise appearance as a guest referee during the match, and cost Owens the match which he almost won.
Although Owens decided to forget what he was holding against McMahon, he won’t forget that Shane O’Mac cost him one of the biggest opportunities in his pro-wrestling career. The former Universal Champion will be very frustrated, and will surely come back with something major to teach McMahon a lesson.
This feud looks like it will lead to another match between the two. However, we could see a twist like Elias being added to the match in some way.
