4 Matches Which Look Imminent After This Week’s RAW & SmackDown

2. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The Miz – Intercontinental Championship Match

Another champion WWE almost forgot up until this week was WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. The Artist won his first Intercontinental Championship at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in an impromptu match against Finn Balor.

Just after his win, he started a feud with Ali. Ali pinned him on an episode of SmackDown, which led to rumors of a potential match between Ali and Nakamura for the title at SummerSlam earlier this month. However, the plan was scrapped before the event.

The Intercontinental Champion finally returned to TV this week on SmackDown Live, and surprisingly, he brought an ally with him, which was the former NXT Champion, Sami Zayn. Nakamura going off TV for a few weeks may have finally done something good for him, as now Zayn will do the talking for him.

The Artist in his first appearance with his new manager, made a bold statement, and beat down The Miz on Miz TV on this week’s episode of the blue brand. We can expect The A-Lister to come back with a revenge on the Japanese wrestler next week.

This feud is most probably going to lead to a match between Nakamura and The Miz for the Intercontinental title at the Clash Of Champions pay-per-view next month.

The Miz feuding with Nakamura for the title is going to be an intriguing rivalry. The Awesome One himself elevated the status of the Intercontinental Championship when he held it, and now he can help The Artist in doing the same by feuding with him.
