4 Legends Who Might Return On The Road To WrestleMania 36

WrestleMania

1. Edge

The Rated-R Superstar was last seen on WWE programming at SummerSlam 2019 in Canada where he got a huge pop on his return. Edge interrupted Elias and hit him with a Spear. The crowd went wild when Edge got physical as it was a sight no one had seen since he hanged up his boots.

Since then, the speculation of Edge returning to in-ring action began. The WWE Hall Of Famer is reportedly on WWE’s wishlist for WrestleMania 36.

According to PWInsider, Edge signed a new deal with WWE, and that a few months ago he was in Pittsburgh for WWE business. Pittsburgh is where WWE Wellness Policy head Dr. Joseph Maroon is designated.

Edge looked in pretty great shape at SummerSlam and there’s still hope he could return to the ring. He has been hitting the gym quite frequently about which he posts on social media.

If Edge returns, WWE can set him up in a short match against Elias to continue from where they left off at SummerSlam. In addition, Elias would make for a great opponent for Edge to warm up against in the ring before he could start competing regularly again.

The Rated-R Superstar’s last match took place back in 2011 at WrestleMania 27, where he defeated Alberto Del Rio to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

It would be iconic if Edge returns to action at the stage where his career ended.
