3. To Generate Fans’ Interest In The Tag Team Championship Scene
WWE hasn’t done much with the RAW Tag Team Championship over the past month. However, we got to see two surprises throughout this time period. Several weeks ago, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson beat The Revival and The Usos in a triple-threat tag team match to win their second RAW Tag Team Championship, which was quite unexpected.
The WWE Universe considered it a much-needed change, and were glad that The Good Brothers were getting a well-deserved push. However, WWE had no direction with Gallows and Anderson as RAW Tag Team Champions. They were not even on the SummerSlam match-card.
Gallows and Anderson worked more as AJ Styles’ goons rather than a tag team. Every week, they were seen by United States Champion’s side, helping him to win match after match. The RAW Tag Titles lost all credibility, and WWE dropped the ball once again with Gallows and Anderson.
Now that The Man and The Monster Among Men have won it, it’s a great opportunity to re-build interest in the Tag Team Championship picture on RAW. Rollins and Strowman are two of the top guys in WWE right now.
Putting the RAW Tag Titles on them would allow WWE to give the titles more TV time. Moreover, it will spark interest among fans because of two main eventers holding them.
