3. Cain Velasquez
Brock Lesnar defeated Cain Velasquez at WWE Crown Jewel in a pretty short match to avenge the humiliation Velasquez put him through in the Octagon 9 years ago.
Since then, Velasquez hasn’t been seen on WWE programming. His second appearance was a non-televised one where he competed in a Tag Team match with Humberto Carrillo at a house show in Mexico.
Lesnar is expected to be back at the start of 2020 and it looks like he’ll continue with Velasquez from where he left off in Saudi Arabia as Lesnar vs. Velasquez is rumored to be the current plan for Royal Rumble 2020.
WWE is probably planning the rematch because Velasquez couldn’t properly compete at Crown Jewel due to a knee injury. There’s a chance that fans will get to witness a proper hard-hitting bout between the two MMA specialists at Royal Rumble, which obviously could not happen at Crown Jewel.
Velasquez would be looking to make a huge statement by winning the WWE Title and once again getting the upper hand against The Beast, while Lesnar would be looking to make it 2-1 against Velasquez.
