Randy Orton hasn’t been in a proper feud since moving to RAW. He just does what he’s best at, and that is popping out of nowhere to strike anyone he wants to.
He was in Tag Team matches at Crown Jewel and Survivor Series, but did not compete at TLC.
The Viper has been going at it with AJ Styles for the past couple of weeks, which is probably just a filler feud on the road to Royal Rumble. There’s a possibility that he may become the #1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Title leading to a match between the two at Royal Rumble.
If WWE gives Orton a Title shot, he’ll also get a chance to avenge what The Beast Incarnate did to him at SummerSlam 2016. The last time they faced off, Orton was busted open leading to a TKO win for the current WWE Champion.
The Viper vs. The Beast will add a lot of star power to the Royal Rumble match-card and it will also help WWE in building Lesnar as a bigger threat heading into WrestleMania 36.
