There’s no doubt that WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and “The Viper” Randy Orton are the biggest stars on RAW right now.
The Chosen One defeated Bobby Lashley at Backlash to continue his dominant reign as the WWE Champion, and he’ll most likely defeat Dolph Ziggler at Extreme Rules. On the other hand, Orton is rocking the Legend Killer gimmick by defeating Edge and Christian recently.
We noted earlier that McIntyre expressed his wish to face Randy Orton at this year’s SummerSlam, so WWE could have the match between them there. Orton also claimed that he doesn’t need a WWE Title to prove himself, so this could lead to McIntyre himself giving Orton a Title shot at SummerSlam to fight for the top spot on RAW.
The two men already had a mini-feud on the road to Royal Rumble earlier this year, so WWE just needs to put the two in a feud together, as the chemistry is already there, and SummerSlam will be the perfect timing for a match.
