1. The Kid defeats Razor Ramon
WWF Monday Night RAW – May 17, 1993
Without a shadow of a doubt, this has been by far the biggest upset win by a jobber (Enhancement Talent) over a Wrestling Superstar, in Pro-Wrestling History.
Introduced as a so called Jobber, to get the main roster Wrestlers over, Sean Waltman started wrestling as ‘The Cannonball Kid’ & ‘The Kamikaze Kid’, losing to the likes of Mr. Hughes and Doink The Clown.
In his match against Razor Ramon, everything seemed as always with Razor squashing the Enhancement Talent, but then ‘The Kid’ – as Waltman called himself in that match – did accomplished the unthinkable.
He did a top rope moonsault on Ramon … 1 … 2 … 3 … and he won the match. The unknown nobody has beat one of the greatest Stars on the WWF Roster at that time, a guy who just 4 months earlier challenged Bret Hart for the WWF World Championship on PPV.
From that point forward, simply because of that upset win, Sean Waltman was known as ‘The 1-2-3 Kid’.
