During the 2002 nWo Storyline in the WWF/E, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash & X-Pac tried to force their fellow Kliq buddy Triple H into joining the New World Order.
HHH always refused though, and would rather stay on his own. It’s not known whether he would have agreed at the end, because that storyline was dropped just a few weeks later and the nWo disbanded for good.
He was kind of an associate member because despite not joining their stable, HHH was still close personal friends with his kliq buddies, in and out of the ring, in real life and on camera.
