2. Randy Orton
“The Viper” Randy Orton is highly rumored to challenge Aleister Black at Extreme Rules. Orton last appeared in the ring at WWE Super ShowDown where he defeated Triple H in a singles match.
There are rumors that he’s dealing with minor neck problems which is why he has been off TV. According to Fightful, the neck problems started after he faced Aleister Black at a house show on June 10th.
The two are likely to face each other because WWE has been setting up Black vs. Orton at a number of house shows.
Even if Orton vs. Black doesn’t end up happening this Sunday at Extreme Rules, this is going to happen in the near future as The Dirty Sheets reported that Black’s first ‘real feud’ on the WWE main roster is scheduled to be with Orton.
Orton vs. Black can be an awesome rivalry because The Viper has always had a violent and sadistic element to his character that would be a formidable challenge to Black’s values. Orton’s superior in-ring ability would also allow for him to put on a fantastic series of matches with Black.
An Extreme Rules stipulation will just work as the icing on the cake.
