3. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross Manage To Hold On To The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles
On last week’s episode of RAW, the team of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in a Fatal 4 Way tag team elimination match.
This ended The IIconics’ 121 day reign as champions. The last team eliminated in the match was The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane).
Alexa & Nikki went on to successfully defend their Titles against the former champions, The IIconics, on the SummerSlam 2019 Kickoff Show.
Alexa & Nikki are now scheduled to defend their Titles against The Kabuki Warriors tonight on RAW.
We noted a few weeks back that The Kabuki Warriors are in-line for a run with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, but it doesn’t look like Alexa & Nikki’s reign will end this soon.
To keep The Kabuki Warriors strong, tonight’s Title match might end in a DQ or Count-Out, so Alexa & Nikki can hold on to their Titles without defeating their opponents.
This would allow WWE to stretch this storyline and have a rematch at next month’s Clash Of The Champions PPV.
