4. Cain Velasquez
Brock Lesnar defeated Cain Velasquez at Crown Jewel 2019 in 2 minutes to avenge the humiliation Velasquez put him through in the Octagon 9 years ago.
Since then, Velasquez hasn’t been seen on WWE programming. His second appearance was a non-televised one where he competed in a Tag Team match with Humberto Carrillo at a house show in Mexico.
Recently during an interview with The Sun, Velasquez confirmed that he’s going to make his Royal Rumble match debut this year.
His presence in the match is just a confirmation for a potential Lesnar-Velasquez altercation we’re going to see.
There’s a possibility that Velasquez may enter at #2 to surprise Lesnar and take him out. If that doesn’t happen, WWE may go with an angle where Lesnar will be dominating everyone in the match until Velasquez shows up to eliminate him and continue from where they left off last year.
WWE may be planning a rematch between Lesnar and Velasquez at next month’s pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia, because Velasquez couldn’t properly compete at Crown Jewel last year due to a knee injury.
