2. The Fiend Attacks Goldberg
WWE announced last week that Goldberg would be returning to SmackDown to make an announcement. Although that did happen, but Goldberg did not return literally as he was just available for a segment via satellite.
The WCW legend made it clear why he was returning and straight up demanded a match for the Universal Championship, which he claimed he never got a rematch for. Soon after that, current Universal Champion Bray Wyatt popped up on the titantron with a new episode of the Firefly Fun House and accepted Goldberg’s challenge.
The two men will face off in a Title match at WWE Super ShowDown in less than two weeks. Goldberg could show up tonight as he wasn’t there last week. The show is in Canada and Goldberg works most events there (his last in-ring appearance was also there at SummerSlam 2019).
WWE could go with an angle where Goldberg would claim that he’ll be the first one to defeat The Fiend, and The Fiend could show up to lock him in the Mandible Claw to send him a message before their match.
