With just 16 days left until the 2021 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, WWE will bring a new episode of SmackDown from the ThunderDome in Tampa Bay, Florida.

On last week’s show, Shinsuke Nakamura almost won a Universal Championship match for himself in the Gauntlet bout, but Universal Champion Roman Reigns forced the victory on Adam Pearce.

Carmella sent another message to SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, while Intercontinental Champion Big E retained his Title against Apollo Crews in a controversial finish. The Dirty Dawgs also defeated The Street Profits to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

6. Apollo Crews Teases A Heel Turn

Apollo Crews Kicks Big E In The Face

Big E retained the Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews in a controversial double pinfall finish last week. Crews got angry after the match, slapped Big E and demanded a rematch.

Big E gave him a rematch in which he retained the Title clean.

On Talking Smack, Paul Heyman told Crews that nice guys always finish last, and that he has to change his attitude.

Therefore, Crews may not be done with Big E yet, and he may continue going after the Champion. He may start hinting a change in his attitude, and turn heel soon.
