2. Lacey Evans Defeats Sasha Banks
The Sassy Southern Belle was supposed to face The Boss in one-on-one competition last Friday night on SmackDown.
However, the match did not take place as Banks was not there for the show. Evans got blindsided by SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley instead, who wanted to teach her a lesson for stepping up to her and Banks.
Tonight, Evans and Banks will finally square off inside the ring. It’s likely that Bayley will cause interruptions during the match to help Banks get the win. However, Evans won’t have a disadvantage if Dana Brooke is by her side. Brooke was supposed to be by Evans’ side last week, but her presence ringside tonight is unconfirmed for now.
As Royal Rumble is coming closer, WWE will be looking to set up the Evans vs. Bayley bout for the SmackDown Women’s Title at the event.
They could go with an angle where Evans defeats Banks to move on to challenge Bayley. Bayley may accept the challenge due to Banks’ loss, setting up the rumored Title match between the two women at Royal Rumble.
