Pro-Wrestling had some of its finest moments in 2015 such as Sting’s first ever WWE match, The Undertaker returning to avenge his loss to Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle’s TNA World Title victory & more.
Let us take a look at 6 unfortunate incidents that happened in Pro-Wrestling in 2015:
6. Hijo Del Perro Aguayo dies in the ring
Rey Mysterio Jr. & Xtreme Tiger took on the team of Hijo Del Perro Aguayo & Manik on March 20 in Tijuana, Baja California. During the match, Hijo Del Perro Aguayo died. The cause of death of the AAA wrestler was a stroke that was caused by cervical spine damage. Doctor arrived to the scene after a long time as the doctor for the event was already pre-occupied as he was treating two other wrestlers that were injured in the event earlier.
El Hijo Del Perro Aguayo was carried backstage on a plywood and was quickly transferred to an ambulance and was taken to a local hospital. The doctors at the hospital tried to resuscitate him for more than an hour before they pronounced him dead. Here’s what Rey Mysterio had to say about this incident:
“Just formed a friendship between brothers who opened years ago and we should not question the designs of God. But in this occasion I wonder why and I do not understand it…I take you with me for the rest of my life, rest in peace HijoDelPerro.”
