5. Nikki Cross Gains More Momentum Against Bayley
Nikki Cross announced her arrival on the blue brand in dominating fashion. She defeated Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Lacey Evans and Carmella in a Six-Pack Challenge Match to become the #1 contender for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
The following week, she defeated Mandy Rose of Fire & Desire in front of the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley to show her what could be coming her way. However, Bayley seems to underestimate her too much.
Before they face off for the title, Nikki Cross and Bayley will be coming face-to-face tonight in a 6-Women Tag Team Match. The challenger will team up with Dana Brooke and Carmella while the champion will team up with Fire & Desire.
It looks like Cross will get another win tonight to build her up as a real challenge for Bayley heading into the title match. Mandy Rose or Sonya Deville will most probably take the pin.
WWE usually builds up underdogs this way for them to look like real threats, so Cross will probably follow the same trend.
