5. Dolph Ziggler Disrespects Goldberg Again
Dolph Ziggler vs. Goldberg has been a one-sided rivalry so far. For the past couple of weeks, Ziggler has been taking shots at Goldberg whenever he speaks on the mic. Whether talking to Shawn Michaels or The Miz, Ziggler never leaves the chance to embarrass Goldberg for his performance at WWE Super ShowDown.
These shots hint at a potential match between Ziggler and Goldberg in the future, and the future might be as near as SummerSlam.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is distracting the fans by selling the idea of Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz at SummerSlam. However, the original plan for the event is for Ziggler to face Goldberg, which apparently, is being kept a surprise by WWE.
Tonight, we might finally see a response from Goldberg. The WCW legend may surprise the fans tonight by hitting a Spear and Jackhammer on The Show-off to silence him. If he doesn’t appear tonight, there’s a huge possibility that he shows up at the Scotiabank Arena this Sunday.
Whether or not Goldberg shows up, we can expect something big from Ziggler’s side to taunt the former Universal Champion.
