8. Frequent Roster Updates
Every major sports video game title has a team dedicated to rating adjustments. Player ratings in sports games create content and conversation for the publisher, the community and the athletes.
Countless times we’ve seen NFL and NBA players take to social media to talk about their latest rating in Madden and NBA 2K, respectively. We’ve seen some video spots from WWE Superstars talking ratings prior to the game’s launch, but after the release, the rating discussions die altogether.
If ratings were adjusted once a month, or after every pay-per-view show, it would provide an event for 2K’s social media team to use as a springboard for content.
Hopefully WWE 2K20 lives up to fans’ expectations and becomes one of the best video games of all time.
