On this day in 1998, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW Saturday Night’.
This episode was pre-taped at the Civic Center in Thibodaux, Louisiana and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW SuperBrawl VIII’ PPV.

In the main event of tonight’s Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-view, WWE Hall of Famer Edge made history by becoming the 3rd man to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match from Entry #1.
Edge also joined a very short list names who have won the Royal Rumble match more than once. Edge’s second Royal Rumble win (January 31, 2021) came exactly 11 years after his first win (January 31, 2010).
Edge will now main event Night 1 or Night 2 of WrestleMania 37, with either the WWE Championship or the Universal Championship on the line.
