• Hall Of Famer Compares RK-BRO To An Attitude Era Tag Team

On this week’s episode of RAW, 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton teamed up with Riddle once again.

RK-BRO went on to defeat the team of Elias & Jaxson Ryker.

With this match, Orton now has 421 televised matches on Monday Night RAW, the second highest by any wrestler.

Kane currently leads this list with 436 televised matches on RAW.

It’s safe to say that Orton will break Kane’s record later this year or next year.

WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley went on to compare RK-BRO with his own tag team from the Attitude Era – The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection (The Rock & Mankind).

Here’s what he tweeted:

“I think #RKBro has a little of that #RockAndSock feel.

I LIKE IT!”

• ON THIS DAY IN PRO WRESTLING HISTORY (May 5, 1985) – WCCW Parade of Champions 2

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on May 5, 1985, Fritz Von Erich’s World Class Championship Wrestling held the ‘2nd Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions’ at the Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas.

This was the 2nd out of 5 “Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions” events that were held once a year from 1984 till 1988.

A highlight of this non-PPV show was one of the very few appearances of 7-foot-5 Little John (aka Silo Sam / Big John Harris) at a major wrestling event.

He was sort of an outside enforcer for The Fantastics, who prevented Jim Cornette from interfering on The Midnight Express’ behalf.

Here are the results:

– Johnny Mantell wrestled Skip Young to a draw

– Scott Casey and Brian Adias defeated Kelly and Nick Kiniski

– Terry Gordy defeated Kamala

– Mike Von Erich defeated Rip Oliver

– Gino Hernandez & Chris Adams defeated The Great Kabuki & Scott Casey

– Vacant NWA American Tag Team Championship: The Fantastics defeated The Midnight Express

– Kerry Von Erich, Kevin Von Erich, Mike Von Erich, Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy & Buddy Roberts defeated Chris Adams, Gino Hernandez, Rip Oliver, One Man Gang, Kamala & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams

– NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Ric Flair (c) wrestled Kevin Von Erich to a double-count-out

– Hair vs One Man Gang facing Fritz: Kerry Von Erich defeated One Man Gang
