• Major Update On Plan For The King Of The Ring & Queen Of The Ring Tournaments

As we have reported before, WWE is planning to do the King Of The Ring tournament and for the 1st time ever, a Queen Of The Ring tournament this year.

According to the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, current plan is to hold the tournament matches on RAW & SmackDown, and the finals of both these tournaments will be held at WWE’s next Saudi Arabia PPV.

WWE’s next Saudi Arabia PPV will most likely be Crown Jewel 2021 (since we didn’t get it last year, and the name of the PPV matches the theme of the tournaments), and it is rumored to take place on October 21, 2021.

No word yet on when these tournaments are scheduled to begin, but we’ll keep you updated.

The last King Of The Ring tournament took place in 2019, and it was won by Baron Corbin. Corbin’s “King Corbin” gimmick lasted for 2 years and ended recently, with Shinsuke Nakamura beating him for his crown and becoming “King Nakamura”.
