• Hall Of Famer Claims She’s Still The WWE 24/7 Champion (Reason)
Former WWF Women’s Champion Alundra Blayze (fka Madusa in WCW) won the WWE 24/7 Championship on the special ‘RAW Reunion’ episode on July 22nd 2019.
On the same episode, she ended up selling the Title to fellow WWF Legend ‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase, similar to how André The Giant sold the WWF World Heavyweight Championship to DiBiase in 1988, a move that resulted in WWF President Jack Tunney vacating the title back then.
Alundra took to Twitter and reminded everyone that according to Tunney († 1935-2004), a championship can not legally be sold to another competitor, but has to be earned in the ring by someone defeating the actual title holder.
She referred to the recent incident on RAW, where Nikki Cross won the 24/7 Title but threw the belt in a trash can (similar to what Madusa herself did on WCW Monday NITRO in 1995) and retired the championship for good.

“Damn! Don’t make me show up and come get that title. I am still 24/7 Champion. Don’t believe me? Go back in history and listen to what Jack Tunney said ‘No one can win the title by it being bought’ ‘surrendered’ to them. -Jack Tunney
