RAW Results – WWE Legend Returns

– RAW kicked off with Rusev confronting Intercontinental & AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio backstage.

– WWE Legend Lilian Garcia returned to RAW tonight. She filled in for Alicia Taylor.

– Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes addressed Seth Rollins ahead of their Men’s Crown Jewel Championship match at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia. The Vision interrupted. Seth said he knew since both of them left SummerSlam as champions that they would be the ones to face off at Crown Jewel, and asked Cody to tell him what he truly thinks of him. Cody said he thinks Seth changed his life and the old Seth would’ve never hid behind three goons in Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and “Big” Bronson Reed. Seth showed the watch that Cody gave him at WrestleMania 40 and revealed he never wore it before tonight. Seth said Cody calls himself the quarterback of WWE, but Seth will be the one to lead WWE into the future as the alpha. Cody said that Seth has not been able to defeat him since he returned, and asked Seth if their match at Crown Jewel will still be one on one.

– The Usos get into an argument backstage. Jey Uso claimed that they would’ve defeated The Vision at Wrestlepalooza if LA Knight wasn’t the Special Guest Referee, and told Jimmy that he never should’ve teamed with LA last week. Jimmy said that Jey & LA need to end their beef once and for all. Jey said he will handle LA tonight.

– Penta & The War Raiders def. The New Day & Grayson Waller in a No DQ match

– Dominik Mysterio asked Judgment Day’s help against Rusev. Dirty Dom informed JD McDonagh that JD will face Rusev tonight.

– Bayley asked Lyra Valkyria to be in her corner for her match later on.

– Stephanie Vaquer celebrated becoming the new Women’s World Champion. Adam Pearce announced that the winner of the Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax WWE Women’s Title Triple Threat match on this Friday’s SmackDown will face Stephanie for the Women’s Crown Jewel Title.

– Paul Heyman was asked if he’s working with Brock Lesnar again. Heyman said Seth Rollins will defeat Cody Rhodes to become the Men’s Crown Jewel Champion and end his losing streak against The American Nightmare.

– Backstage, Nikki Bella and Rhea Ripley congratulated Stephanie Vaquer. Ripley told Vaquer that she’s still coming for the Women’s World Title. Asuka confronted Rhea again and they will have a match tonight.

– Bayley def. Roxanne Perez

During the match, Raquel Rodriguez attacked Bayley, which led to Lyra Valkyria laying out Raquel. Roxanne then attacked Lyra. After the match, Lyra hugged Bayley, but Bayley shoved her and snapped.

– Jimmy Uso met Cody Rhodes and asked Cody to speak some sense into Jey Uso.

– Cody Rhodes met Jey Uso in the locker room and said, “we believe in you.” Jey appreciated that. Jey had his eyes on the WWE Championship during this segment and said he will find a way to get back to the top.

– Rusev def. World Tag Team Champion JD McDonagh via submission

Dominik Mysterio stood on the apron and looked in fear as Rusev had the Accolade locked in on JD. Dirty Dom refused to step in even after the match was over, which led to Finn Balor running out to break the submission and attack Rusev. Finn wasn’t happy with Dom.

– IYO SKY asked Asuka to not fight Rhea Ripley. Kairi Sane told IYO that Asuka is right.

– LA Knight said he was concerned for Jey Uso’s health at Wrestlepalooza, but Jey still shoved him. LA said he doesn’t want to hurt Jey tonight.

– Jey Uso def. LA Knight

Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed tried to interfere in this match, but LA took them out. Jey used this distraction to put away Knight. After the match, Jimmy Uso saved LA from The Vision.

– IYO SKY requested Rhea Ripley to call off the match against Asuka. Rhea said it has to happen. Rhea told IYO to be careful of Asuka. IYO got angry and said Asuka is family and questioned if she can trust Rhea.

– Penta put Dominik Mysterio on notice and said he’ll be the Intercontinental Champion.

– Maxxine Dupri asked Adam Pearce for an opportunity. AJ Styles and Dragon Lee want to face two El Grande Americanos. Pearce made the tag team match official for next week.

– Rhea Ripley def. Asuka

Asuka accidentally knocked Kairi Sane off the ring apron, which led to Rhea taking advantage and pinning Asuka with a roll up. After the match, Asuka spit the mist in Rhea’s face. The Kabuki Warriors attacked Rhea, which led to IYO SKY coming out. Asuka turned on IYO as well and The Kabuki Warriors laid their friend out as well.
