• LA Knight Is Not In Trouble After Recent RAW Incident

Rumors suggesting LA Knight could face backstage heat for holding a “We Want LA Knight, Not Jey” sign on RAW have been shut down.

According to Fightful Select, there’s no indication whatsoever that WWE is upset with Knight over the viral moment. The outlet noted that even if someone did take issue with it, there wouldn’t be much the company could do – joking that WWE “can’t make him lose two matches a night instead of one.”

Fightful added that Knight remains one of WWE’s most popular acts, staying over with fans despite inconsistent booking. The former United States Champion has continued to draw strong reactions both on television and at live events, regardless of how often WWE seems to cool him off creatively.

The report also pointed out that the sign itself referenced a storyline rivalry between Knight and Jey Uso, making it clear that there’s no controversy tied to it internally.

• Reason Behind WWE Talent Not Receiving Extra Pay For TNA & AAA Appearances

WWE signed a partnership with TNA at the start of the year and also acquired AAA a couple of months later. Since then, several WWE wrestlers have appeared across both promotions.

However, despite these cross-promotional appearances, WWE talent are reportedly not receiving additional pay for working shows in TNA or AAA.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE believes that since most of its talent are now on guaranteed contracts and work fewer dates overall, they can be booked for appearances in TNA or AAA without any extra compensation.

WWE’s stance is that wrestlers are being paid the same guaranteed salary regardless of where they perform, and that the company has significantly reduced its live event schedule over the past year. As a result, most talent now work one or two days a week instead of the heavier travel schedule seen in previous years.

Because of this, WWE feels justified in assigning talent to outside promotions without offering additional pay as the wrestlers are still working fewer total dates than originally expected when they signed their current contracts.

• General Manager Says Goodbye After Last WWE Appearance This Week

WWE released over a dozen developmental talents last month, including Stevie Turner, the General Manager of EVOLVE and Co-Assistant General Manager of NXT.

Turner signed with WWE in early 2021 and debuted in NXT UK before moving to NXT after the UK brand was shut down. Her last match took place at a live event in February.

After making her final WWE appearance in a backstage segment with EVOLVE Men’s Champion Jackson Drake on this week’s EVOLVE, Turner took to X to write:

“My last work as the PM of #WWEEvolve and WWE✌

Bye for now #WWENXT”

The 28-year-old previously hinted at a potential in-ring return following her WWE departure.
