• Dolph Ziggler Reveals Why A Top WWE Official Told Him To “Stop Bumping So Great”
Dolph Ziggler, aka Nic Nemeth, is one of the best sellers in pro wrestling history. He proved it once again in his match against Solo Sikoa after returning on RAW this past Monday. Every move, every near-fall, and every sequence showcased why he’s considered a master at making his opponents look extraordinary.
The former World Heavyweight Champion has spent years helping both current stars and legends look amazing in the ring, elevating every match he’s in with his timing, awareness, and in-ring storytelling.
Speaking on the Off The Ropes Podcast, Ziggler revealed that early in his career, a WWE official told him to stop selling finishes so well, or the company would keep using him to make others look strong.
“A long time ago, someone in Talent Relations, very high up, said, ‘You have to stop bumping so great on finishes… Because that’s what you’ll be doing for the rest of your life is taking those finishes.’ I thought that was a good call and tried it once. I hesitated, and I was so embarrassed. It felt like I fell on ice. I said, okay, I can’t do that. I have to go all out.”
• WWE Hall Of Famer Open To Returning For A Final Run
Brie Bella stepped away from full-time wrestling in 2016. She returned to the ring in 2018 for a short run and got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2020. Her last appearance in the squared circle as an in-ring performer came during the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Her return has been complicated by her husband Bryan Danielson’s work in AEW, which she previously described as a “roadblock” to her own WWE comeback.
Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie opened up about still feeling capable of one final run.
“I think there is definitely a last run in me. I’m at the age, and I’m strong, and I think it’s because I’m working out so hard and I’m feeling good. But, there’s for sure a last run in me. Wherever it may take me, wherever it may be, I hope it’s with you (Nikki). Whether it’s for one night or 200 nights. We’ll see.”
Her twin sister Nikki returned to WWE earlier this year and is set to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at Survivor Series: WarGames 2025.
