• Possible Good News For Andrade

Andrade was released by WWE earlier this year after testing positive for medications and supplements that are legal in Mexico, but banned under WWE’s Wellness Policy. After his release, he briefly appeared in AEW, and that appearance is what led WWE to activate a non-compete clause he claims was not part of his original departure.

The former United States Champion recently said that he and WWE had respectfully agreed to part ways in September. However, that may not be the case.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE’s stance is that Andrade did not leave on good terms. The company claims that he failed multiple drug tests and was let go for disciplinary reasons, which gave them a strong reason to enforce a one-year worldwide non-compete without pay.

The update also notes that WWE may decide not to hold El Idolo to the full year of the non-compete.

Andrade had mentioned recently that his lawyers are working on getting the length of the non-compete clause reduced, and he is hoping to return to action soon.

• Chris Jericho Offered Retirement Storyline By WWE, Expected Return Timeline Revealed

Chris Jericho’s AEW contract is set to expire in about a month, and all signs continue pointing towards a WWE return.

The former World Heavyweight Champion has openly acknowledged in recent months that he’d be open to going back to WWE someday. It has been rumored for a while that he is eyeing a 2026 return for a Hall of Fame induction and a retirement tour.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE has already pitched Jericho a retirement storyline, and internally, that is exactly what many in the company want if he returns.

While nothing is finalized, there are people within WWE who believe that Jericho could show up “early next year.”

Jericho has been a cornerstone of All Elite Wrestling since day one, serving as the company’s first World Champion. Tony Khan has stated on multiple occasions that he’d love to have Y2J back, but he remains absent from AEW programming since April.

• WWE’s Plan For WrestleMania 42 – Night 2 Main Event

WWE is already shaping the top of the WrestleMania 42 card, and the company’s long-term creative plans have shifted significantly following Seth Rollins’ shoulder injury at Crown Jewel. The original idea for the WrestleMania 42 – Night 2 main event has now changed, opening the door for multiple major possibilities.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins was locked in as the Night 2 main event for WrestleMania 42. With Rollins now out, the updated direction puts Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk, or Reigns vs whoever holds one of the World Titles by then as the current plan.

WWE’s booking for its biggest names is reportedly being done with both WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas and WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia in mind.

WWE is expected to drop more clues about the main event of WrestleMania 42 tonight during the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, which will see World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Usos taking on Brock Lesnar, The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed), Drew McIntyre, and Logan Paul.
