• Ex-WWE Wrestler Released From Prison

A significant chapter in the legal saga of Cain Velasquez concluded this weekend. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion and ex-WWE wrestler was released on parole from the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, California, on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after serving 11 months of his sentence.

The 43-year-old’s journey back to his family was a festive one; footage shared on social media showed the MMA legend being greeted by his wife and children to the sounds of a live mariachi band.

While he was originally sentenced to five years in prison in March 2025, several factors led to his early release:

Pre-Sentence Credit: Velasquez was credited with 1,283 days for time already spent in county jail and under house arrest while his case moved through the courts.

Rehabilitative Progress: His parole date was moved up from March to February due to his active participation in approved prison programs.

The charges against Velasquez stemmed from a 2022 high-speed car chase in which he fired a handgun at a vehicle carrying Harry Goularte, the man accused of molesting Velasquez’s young son. While the intended target was unharmed, a bullet struck Goularte’s stepfather, Paul Bender, causing non-life-threatening injuries. Velasquez eventually pleaded no contest to charges including attempted murder, a decision that avoided a lengthy trial.

While the UFC Legend is now free to return to his coaching duties at the American Kickboxing Academy, his legal obligations are not yet over. He is scheduled to return to court on March 18 for a restitution hearing.

Fellow UFC Legend Ronda Rousey tweeted the following:

“Welcome back, Cain! Wishing you and your family happiness and healing!”

• Logan Paul Sets World Record

The Holy Grail of Pokémon has reached a new stratosphere. WWE Superstar Logan Paul officially parted ways with his one-of-a-kind PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator card, which sold at auction for a staggering $16,492,000. The sale didn’t just break Pokémon records; it shattered the previous high for any trading card ever sold at auction, a title formerly held by a $12.9 million Michael Jordan/Kobe Bryant dual-logoman card, setting a new Guinness World Record.

The auction, hosted by Goldin Auctions, was a grueling 42-day marathon that culminated in an intense six-hour bidding war during the final live stream. While the price hovered around $12.5 million for much of the final stretch, a flurry of 97 total bids eventually pushed the hammer price to $13.3 million, with the remaining $3.19 million coming from the 24% buyer’s premium.

The new owner was revealed to be AJ Scaramucci, founder of Solari Capital and son of former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci. Appearing live on Paul’s stream to receive the card, Scaramucci announced that the acquisition is the start of a planetary treasure hunt. His goal is to build a collection of the world’s most significant artifacts, with his next targets reportedly being a T-Rex fossil and an original copy of the Declaration of Independence.

Paul’s profit on the investment is immense. He famously acquired the card in 2021 through a $5.27 million deal that involved a PSA 9 version of the card plus $4 million in cash. By including the $80,000 diamond-encrusted Poké Ball necklace he wore during his WrestleMania 38 WWE debut match, Paul effectively tripled his initial investment in just five years.
