The Spinning Back Elbow is a move closely associated with AEW star Andrade, which led a fan to tweet the clip of Grey using it and captioning it:
“Kendal Grey paying tribute to @AndradeElIdolo”
That prompted Andrade to reply:
“Who?”
Several WWE fans interpreted the comment as a dig at Grey. After receiving backlash from fans, Andrade tweeted:
“Hahaha! I asked who she was because, honestly, I didn’t know—but now I do, and it’s thanks to you guys! 🤣 She definitely has a future in this business. Good luck! 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼”
• “Sometimes the script sucked” – Former WWE Universal Champion
Braun Strowman, who first rose to prominence as the Black Sheep of The Wyatt Family, had two stints on WWE’s main roster. His initial run lasted until 2021, before returning in 2022 and ultimately being released in the spring of last year.
During his time in WWE, The Monster Among Men often felt limited by the company’s creative decisions and has openly criticized its booking. Now, co-launching his own production company, Meat Castle Media, Strowman is enjoying the freedom to shape his projects on his own terms.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Universal Champion compared his current creative freedom to his years in WWE.
“For me, the big eye-opening thing was not having my hands tied. They’ve allowed me to be me, whereas my hands were tied creatively for the last 12 years (in WWE), and while that’s not a bad thing — I was very blessed with what I got to do — but at the end of the day, I was playing a character on a show, and sometimes the script sucked.
I mean, no offense, I hated it, but I had to go in there and make the best of it because that was my job. Well, now with this opportunity, my creative input is welcomed, it’s not dismissed.”
• MJF Calls Ex-WWE World Champion An “Overhyped Mid Carder”
AEW World Champion MJF put TNA star Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler in WWE) on notice in his latest tweet:
“I’ve been listening to Nic Nemeth trashing me through veiled ‘advice’ and ‘notes’ on busted open for months when in reality he’s just sh*tting on me out of jealousy.
This dude actually said I remind him of a younger Dolph Ziggler.
lol. I don’t remember ever being an overhyped mid carder.
This dude is delusional. This dude is jealous. And most importantly this dude should keep my name out of his f**king mouth.
I’m the most complete professional wrestler in the world. you couldn’t lace my boots or carry my mic.
Say my name again on your little show and I’ll beat the f**king sh*t out of you.
You know where to find me.
In the meantime I’m gonna focus on my world title defense against ‘The God’ Kenny Omega at Dynasty.
Cuz I only face the best of the best.
Lmk when the spirit squad guy belongs in that conversation.”
