• Potential Liv Morgan SummerSlam Opponent Before WWE Creative Changes Revealed
Liv Morgan captured the Women’s World Championship from Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42 earlier this year.
The expectation was for Morgan and Vaquer to continue their rivalry after WrestleMania, but Vaquer’s injury changed those plans. While Morgan has remained a regular presence on RAW, she has not been involved in a major feud and has yet to defend the championship since winning it.
Morgan is a part of the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament, making her the first reigning women’s champion to enter the competition.
According to Self Made Pro, WWE had much of its creative direction mapped out through SummerSlam shortly before WrestleMania. However, several plans were adjusted in the weeks that followed.
Before those changes were made, there was an expectation that Morgan and IYO SKY could be on a collision course for SummerSlam. It was not said to be a locked-in plan, but rather the direction many expected things to head at the time.
That match remains a possibility. SKY advanced to the Queen of the Ring semi-finals on this week’s RAW, while Morgan is still alive in the tournament. Depending on how the bracket plays out, the two could still find themselves meeting with the Women’s World Championship potentially on the line at SummerSlam.
• WWE Retires Championship
WWE has officially retired the NXT Heritage Cup Championship. The title is no longer listed among the active championships on WWE’s official website and is now classified as retired on its dedicated championship page, confirming that it has been officially discontinued.

The Heritage Cup has not been featured on NXT programming since last year’s NXT Great American Bash, when Tony D’Angelo threw it off a bridge during his feud with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo.
The championship was originally introduced in NXT UK before being brought to NXT following the closure of the UK brand.
Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo was the final holder of the NXT Heritage Cup.
• Latest WWE Departure Confirmed
WWE has parted ways with another talent, as Aria Bennett (Ajiea Lea Hargrave) is no longer with the company. Bennett recently updated her Instagram bio to describe herself as a “former WWE” talent. Prior to the change, her profile listed her as being part of NXT.
Below is a screenshot of her bio:

A former NCAA All-American gymnast, Bennett signed with WWE in 2024 as part of the company’s Next In Line program. During her two-year stint, she competed in 11 matches, all of which took place at NXT live events and EVOLVE shows.
Her most recent match came in April 2025 at an NXT live event.
It is currently unclear exactly when Bennett was let go. WWE conducted several rounds of talent cuts following WrestleMania earlier this year, and it is possible she was part of those releases, but her departure was not publicly reported at the time.
