• Old School WWF Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday
Today would have been the 62nd birthday of Old School WWF Legend “Doink The Clown” Matt Borne (Real name: Matthew Osborne).
He played the original Doink The Clown, which was a Heel gimmick, before others took over and the character turned babyface.
Pretty much everyone considers him to be by far the very best to ever play the role of Doink.
In 1991 & 1992, Matt also wrestled for World Championship Wrestling under the name ‘Big Josh’.
After his WWF days, he joined NWA Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW) in his Doink gear, but only used parts of the facepaint, under the ring name “Borne Again”.

• A Title Change Could Happen At Tonight’s WWE SmackVille Event
WWE SmackVille Live Event takes place tonight and WWE will be airing one hour of it on the WWE Network.
Below is what WWE posted about it:
“WWE is proud to announce the SMACKVILLE special event, featuring a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship and streaming live from Nashville, Tenn., exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network tonight at 9 ET/6 PT.
The explosive in-ring action will include a main event Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship in which Kofi Kingston will be challenged by Dolph Ziggler and Samoa Joe. In addition, newly crowned Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura will go head-to-head with former titleholder Finn Bálor in a rematch from WWE Extreme Rules. The evening will also feature a special musical performance by Elias.
Don’t miss SMACKVILLE, streaming live from Music City, U.S.A., tonight at 9 ET/6 PT, exclusively on WWE Network.”
According to Brad Shepard, WWE officials have discussed the possibility of a shocking title change taking place tonight – either Samoa Joe winning the WWE Championship or Charlotte Flair winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship:
“According to a source in WWE, there have been initial discussions today of Charlotte or Samoa Joe pulling off a shock win at tonight’s SmackVille event. It should be interesting to see if that happens.”
If WWE officials go for a Title change tonight, then it’ll most likely be the WWE Championship, since the SmackDown Women’s Title match between Bayley & Charlotte won’t air (and there’s not much sense in not airing a Title change especially when they’re airing a House Show live on the WWE Network).
