“The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland (fka Edge in WWE) made his in-ring return on tonight’s AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen special (tap here for complete results), teaming with FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) to secure a victory over The Death Riders (AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and AEW World Trios Champions Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta).
Copeland has changed his AEW name to just “Cope” and the change was made official on tonight’s show.
The match concluded with Cope hitting a spear on Yuta after FTR executed the Shatter Machine. Before the finish, Jay White interfered, hitting Yuta with the Blade Runner, while Cope backdropped Moxley onto the announce table and speared him through the barricade.
This marked Cope’s first match since AEW Double Or Nothing 2024, where he suffered a leg injury.
Cope will also compete on this Saturday’s episode of Collision. Below is the card:
– The Learning Tree (ROH World Champion Chris Jericho, Big Bill, & Bryan Keith) vs. Rated FTR (Adam Copeland, Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler)
– Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Mark Briscoe for the TNT Championship
– Private Party (c) vs. Lio Rush & Action Andretti for the AEW World Tag Team Championship
– Jeff Jarrett in action
– Toni Storm vs. Deonna Purrazzo
– The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) will return to AEW TV
